Pride Month returns to New York City this June with a full calendar of celebrations, parades, festivals, and community events taking place across the five boroughs.

More than a series of events, Pride Month is a time to celebrate LGBTQIA+ communities, honor the history of those who fought for visibility and equal rights, and recognize the diversity that continues to shape New York City today.

From historic marches and community gatherings to neighborhood festivals and cultural celebrations, here are five major Pride events happening across NYC in June 2026.

NYC Pride March

The NYC Pride March remains the centerpiece of Pride Month in New York City and one of the largest LGBTQIA+ demonstrations in the world.

Its roots trace back to the first Pride marches organized following the 1969 Stonewall uprising in Greenwich Village.

The uprising began after a police raid at the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Manhattan, and quickly became a turning point in the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement.

Today, Stonewall remains one of the most significant symbols of LGBTQIA+ activism and visibility in the United States and around the world.

The march now attracts thousands of participants and spectators who gather to celebrate progress, visibility, equality, and community.

  • When: June 28, 2026

  • Time: 12:00 PM

  •  Where: Manhattan

The route begins at 26th Street and Fifth Avenue, passes the historic Stonewall Inn, and continues through Lower Manhattan.

PrideFest

Held on the same day as the Pride March, PrideFest transforms part of Manhattan into one of the largest LGBTQIA+ street festivals in the United States.

The event combines live entertainment, local businesses, food vendors, nonprofit organizations, artists, and community groups into an all-day celebration open to everyone.

Whether you're looking for performances, resources, shopping, or simply a festive atmosphere, PrideFest offers something for every visitor.

  • When: June 28, 2026

  • Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Where: Fourth Avenue, between 14th Street and Astor Place

Admission is free.

Youth Pride

Designed specifically for LGBTQIA+ youth, allies, and families, Youth Pride provides a welcoming and inclusive space focused on community, empowerment, and support.

The event features live entertainment, DJs, guest performances, games, community resources, and activities throughout the day in an alcohol-free environment.

A Trans Youth Rally traditionally helps kick off the celebration before a full afternoon of programming.

  • When: June 27, 2026

  • Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Where: Pier 16, South Street Seaport

Admission is free.

Queens Pride

Often considered one of the most significant Pride celebrations outside Manhattan, Queens Pride serves as an important cultural event within one of New York City's most diverse boroughs.

Hosted in Jackson Heights, the event combines a colorful parade with a multicultural festival featuring live performances, community organizations, local vendors, and food from around the world.

Since its founding in the early 1990s, Queens Pride has played an important role in promoting visibility, inclusion, and acceptance throughout the borough.

  • When: June 7, 2026

  • Time: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

  • Where: Jackson Heights, Queens

The parade is followed by a multicultural street festival that attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Brooklyn Pride

Brooklyn Pride is one of New York City's longest-running Pride celebrations and offers a distinctly local atmosphere.

Centered in Park Slope, the event features a full day of community programming, including a multicultural festival, family activities, live performances, and the well-known Twilight Parade.

Unlike most Pride parades, Brooklyn Pride takes place after sunset, making it one of the few nighttime Pride parades in the region.

  • Where: Park Slope, Brooklyn

Highlights include:

  • LGBTQIA+ 5K Run/Walk in Prospect Park

Looking Ahead

Pride Month in New York City extends far beyond a single parade.

Throughout June, communities across the city come together to celebrate identity, visibility, inclusion, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. From large-scale gatherings like the NYC Pride March to local celebrations in Queens and Brooklyn, each event reflects a different part of New York's LGBTQIA+ community and history.

Whether you're attending for the first time or returning as part of a long-standing tradition, Pride Month remains an important moment of celebration, remembrance, and solidarity across the city.

From the NYC Pride March and PrideFest to Queens Pride, Brooklyn Pride, and Youth Pride, these Pride Month events highlight the diversity, history, and strength of LGBTQIA+ communities across New York City.
